This week we started to put our research into motion. We began by deciding that our instillation would be best presented in the corridor area of the building so subsequently booked out this space. We then got feedback from the designated members of the group who had recce’d the location and came up with our final four locations. Next we began our search for credible dancers to participate in our video. Initially we wanted to use four completely different dancers each one having their own decade allowing for us to get the best of each dancers potential onto the film. We were given some contacts from the pavilion dance center and began to get into contact with a wide variety of dancers, however due to our scheduling times and minimal funding it was quite hard to find dancers that not only would fit perfectly into our film but also were available for us to film. Eventually we found two different dancers who were suitable and opted to compromise with our original idea and use just the two dancers over the four decades. As production manager I also began research into finding suitable props and clothing for our dancers in each of the individual decades. We finished the group meeting off with creating a schedule and plan for the next several weeks to ensure that we stayed up to speed and on topic over the course of the project.
